Login & First Time Setup

Setting up your Paylocity account
When you first join the company, you'll receive an email invitation to create your Paylocity account. Click the link in the email to begin setup.

Viewing Paystubs

Accessing your paystubs
Once logged in to Paylocity, click on the "Pay" section in the main navigation menu. This will take you to your pay history where you can view and download current and past paystubs.

Downloading paystubs
To save or print a paystub, click on the specific pay date you want to view, then use the download or print options in the top-right corner of the paystub viewer.

Updating Tax Information

Accessing tax forms
Navigate to the "Self Service" section of Paylocity, then select "Tax Forms" from the dropdown menu. Here you can view your current tax withholding status.

Updating withholding
To update your tax withholding information, click the "Edit" button in the Federal or State tax section. Complete the digital W-4 form with your new information and submit when finished.
Changes typically take effect in the next pay period

Direct Deposit Setup

Setting up direct deposit
In the "Self Service" section, select "Banking" to manage your direct deposit information. You can add multiple accounts and specify deposit amounts or percentages for each.

Verification process
After adding a new bank account, Paylocity may make small test deposits to verify your account. Check your bank statement for these deposits and confirm them in Paylocity to complete setup.

Time and Expense Tracking

Recording work hours
From the main dashboard, select "Time Tracking" to enter your hours. Choose the relevant project, task type, and enter the number of hours worked. You can also add notes for clarification.

Submitting expenses
To submit an expense, go to "Expenses" in the main menu. Click "Add Expense," select the appropriate project, expense category, and amount. You can attach receipt photos directly from your mobile device.

Project Management

Viewing assigned projects
Your active projects appear on the dashboard. Click on any project to view details, including tasks, timelines, documents, and team members assigned to the project.

Task management
Within each project, you can view tasks assigned to you under the "Tasks" tab. Mark tasks as complete when finished, which automatically updates project progress for the entire team.

Mobile App Usage

Installing the mobile app
Download the JobTread mobile app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Log in using the same credentials as the web version.

Field-ready features
The mobile app allows you to clock in/out, capture and submit receipts, view project details, and communicate with team members directly from the job site. GPS tracking helps associate your work with specific locations.

Vehicle Tracking Basics

Viewing the live map
After logging in to Linxup, you'll see the live map showing all company vehicles. Each vehicle appears as an icon with different colors indicating status (moving, stopped, or idling).

Click on any vehicle icon to view details such as current speed, direction, address, and driver information. You can also see the vehicle's recent history and status updates.

Alert Configuration

Setting up alerts
Navigate to the "Alerts" section from the main menu. Here you can configure notifications for specific events like speeding, after-hours usage, excessive idling, or geofence boundary violations.

Choose how you want to receive alerts—via email, SMS text message, or in-app notifications. You can set different delivery methods for different types of alerts based on urgency.

Reporting Features

Generating reports
Access the "Reports" section to create detailed analytics on vehicle usage, mileage, stop duration, and driver behavior. Select the date range, vehicles, and specific metrics you want to analyze.

Scheduled reports
Set up automated reports to be delivered to your email on a regular schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly). This helps maintain consistent vehicle monitoring without manually generating reports.
Exporting data
Reports can be exported in multiple formats including PDF, Excel, and CSV for further analysis or record-keeping. Use the export button at the top of any report to download.
